Express Pay provides drivers a convenient and contactless way to pay for parking with their license plate and a credit card. Once you've created an account and saved a credit card, your car will be recognized by your license plate at participating locations and your credit will be charged automatically at exit.
How to Get Started:
In order to start your Express Pay parking session, you will need to enter in your license plate number and state, credit card information for payment, then you will be asked to verify your mobile number (a text message will be sent to you with your verification code.) If you’re not receiving verification messages, it’s likely that your carrier is blocking short code SMS. If you’re unable to retrieve your 4 digit approval code, you can contact the ParkWhiz support team to obtain your code by emailing us. You won’t be able to use Express Pay through ParkWhiz until your mobile number is successfully verified. If you are driving a rental car or a car that is not your primary vehicle, it is recommended that you do not check the "save vehicle for autopay" box.
How to Park:
Once your phone number is verified you are good to start parking at locations that support Express Pay. Some things to keep in mind is to make sure your rear license plate is visible and not covered by anything such as a bike rack, trailer, etc. Also, be sure to confirm that your license plate matches what you entered. You will receive a text message confirming the start of your parking session. Your credit card will be charged automatically when leaving the parking lot and a receipt will be emailed to you. The rate is determined based on your length of stay. You will be able to see the estimated charges in your active ParkWhiz session.
Failed Payment:
If you receive a failed payment message, double check and make sure the payment method is entered correctly. If the problem persists, enter a new credit card or contact your bank.
