What is Express Pay?
Express Pay is a convenient and contactless way to pay for parking using your license plate and a credit card. Express Pay allows you to pay quickly and conveniently with autopay or one-time payments without requiring an app download. By using Express pay, you'll be provided with real-time SMS confirmation and receipts along with seamless entry and exit.
How it Works
DRIVE IN: Cameras scan license plates and automatically open the gate for autopay users.
- PARK: Drivers scan a QR code or tap a text link to claim their session. If enrolled in autopay, no action is required.
- DRIVE OUT: Cameras verify session details, automatically open the gate, and charge the card on file.
To initiate Express Pay, scan the displayed QR code, which will take you to a web-based sign-up process.
After creating a ParkWhiz account and saving a credit card, your license plate becomes your credential, allowing for automatic payment upon exit.
During enrollment, you can choose between:

For returning Express Pay users enrolled in autopay, the gates will automatically open when your registered license plate is recognized—no need to stop or scan. Upon entry, you will also receive an automatic text message confirming their session has started, along with a link to view your digital parking ticket. If you used Express Pay before but didn’t enroll in autopay, you can easily start a new session by scanning any displayed Express Pay QR code; your information is already saved for a quick, hassle-free experience. |

What if I'm driving a rental?
If you are driving a rental car or a car that is not your primary vehicle, it is recommended that you do not check the "Enroll this vehicle in auto-pay" box.
Failed Payment?
If you receive a failed payment message, double-check and make sure the payment method is entered correctly. If the problem persists, try entering a new credit card or contacting your bank.
Other things to keep in mind:
- Ensure your rear license plate is visible and not covered by anything such as a bike rack, trailer, etc.
- Confirm that your license plate matches what you entered.
- The rate is determined based on your length of stay, you'll be able to see the estimated charges in your active ParkWhiz session.
