My car got Towed/Booted or I received a Citation. What should I do?

We’re sorry to hear that you got a citation/got booted/got towed! We understand that this can be a frustrating experience and want to help you figure out what to do next.

ParkWhiz is a third party listing service and is not responsible for issuing citations, towing and booting vehicles or enforcing parking regulations at any of the locations that we partner with since we do not own or operate them. As such, we are unable to directly assist with voiding or disputing citations and are unable to handle anything dealing directly with tows and boots.

Citation: If you believe that you received the citation in error, then you can dispute it directly with the location management or follow the instructions on the citation concerning how to dispute it. Usually, there is a phone number or email address you can contact the company that issued the citation or a website to fill out a form to dispute the ticket.

Tow: If your car was towed, then you will want to get it from the tow yard as soon as possible. Usually, there are signs around the location showing which towing company they use with a phone number to call or you speak with someone at the location. Once you have your vehicle back, then you will need to reach out to the location’s management regarding any reimbursement for your tow fees. Be sure to have your tow documents and receipt for your payment of the tow fees handy when reaching out to the location’s management.

Boot: If your car was booted, then you will have to pay to have the boot removed. There is usually a phone number on the boot or paperwork that you can call to have someone come back and remove the boot. You will have to pay any associated fees and fines. If you feel this was done in error, then you will need to reach out to the location management for reimbursement. Be sure to have any documentation given to you by the boot company and the receipt for your payment to have it removed.

NOTE: It is also recommended that you provide a copy of your parking pass and the receipt for your pass when disputing any citation/boot/tow. You can find more information on getting your receipts here
