Nope, creating a password is optional.
There are some advantages to creating a password, though; the most important one being that you can use that password to sign in and access any upcoming parking passes to print or view on your phone.
You can also see your "favorite locations" to conveniently book again without going through the search process each time you'd like to park.
Your account also allows you to save and manage your payment method or license plate number for faster checkout and view receipts of all past bookings.
